You’ve found your sanctuary to hear the internal and external noise but write anyway…
I’m EmmaLovesRobots and life is loud. Via Write Through the Noise, I offer quiet gatherings, audio prompts and workshops inspired by contemplative writing – allowing us to breathe and settle before writing to a prompt while keeping the pen moving.
We all know about the external noise, but I believe the inner critic has been misrepresented! There are actually 8 (sometimes very chatty) voices who show up when we (… or I) begin to write: The Believer, the Cool One, the Good Girl etc. They’re all present because they’re trying to be supportive/protective in their own, often misguided way. My Zine (see below) will be released in November and it explores these voices and ways to work with them
I hope to see you soon – if you’re curious, you’re welcome.

About me
I have always written — through songs, long form fiction and even stand-up comedy. Since 2011 I have been practising contemplative writing with my teacher Miriam Hall (herspiral.com). Fifteen years later, this practice has kept me writing through doubts, grief, happiness and overwork — and Miriam has taught me how to facilitate for others.
Write Through the Noise is what happened next.
I share weekly audio writing prompts, words about contemplative writing and — coming November 2026 — a slightly unhinged zine introducing the eight inner voices that show up when you sit down to write.
If you’re curious, you’re welcome.
